A Journey Through The Brain Series 2010

As mental health professionals, many of us have never been trained in "how the brain works" or we simply find it just too difficult to keep abreast of the new advances in this area!

"A journey through the Brain" is a basic course in modern Neuro-science, designed to re-inforce the day to day skills of mental health professionals, at all levels.

Participants will learn about "brain basics" – the building blocks, geography and function – and how this related to psychiatric and psychological disorders.

This unique course will allow you to the general practitioner, psychologist, nurse or mental health-care professional to become more aware of the advances in neuron-science, brain technology and the methods of optimizing brain functioning – knowledge essential for more accurate diagnosis and improved treatment, to the benefit of themselves and their patients.

All information is presented in an easy, user-friendly format, enhanced by clinical case studies, brain imaging and brain "diagrams and models." The course design will allow adequate time to enahcne audience participation and questions.
